Rescuing animals in deep sleep.

Imagine being a homeless dog… you are in a constant struggle to find a safe spot to sleep, in constant look for food and water, you are always in a state of fear from cars, fireworks, or coyotes who are searching for their next meal - it's really a nightmare.

I wanted to share some videos where I used their exhaustion to my advantage and surprised these dogs in their sleep! This method can be very dangerous - especially with larger dogs who may overreact.

The little dog in today's new video was quite nervous, so I had to be quiet and complete the mission without waking him up.

The next one didn't want anything to do with me, so I had to send Loreta forward for this dangerous mission:
 

On this one, I was joined by Hope For Paws' Board of Director and a good friend of mine, Jaime Ray Newman:
 

This senior dog lived by the freeway for 7 months and he was mostly deaf, so that was pretty easy:

Some senior dogs have no fight left in them, and they are happy to be saved:
 

But some seniors will fight (and bite):

This puppy slept by the railroad tracks, and I managed to surprise him too:
